Has the Lord given you a verse(s) that you would consider a confirmation of His call on your life? During my Bible College and Seminary days, the Lord reiterated Isaiah 61:1-3 to confirm my call to mininstry:
“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me, for the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the LORD’s favor has come, and with it the day of God’s anger against their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel, He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for His own glory.”
Max Lucado refers to this verse as The Nazareth Manifesto because Jesus quotes these verses in Luke 4:18,19 while in Nazareth. As Lucado points out, “Jesus had a target audience. The poor. The brokenhearted. Captives. The blind and oppressed.”
Do you want to partner with Jesus in His mission to reach out by empowering and equipping women to reach their world? Do you envision women arising and taking intentional steps together into a hurting world – reaching out and sharing Christ?
If your answer is yes, then Connecting Streams Women’s Ministry shares your vision. Currently, we are seeking leaders and administrators willing to take initiative, lead and empower others, and coach and train volunteers; and people who desire to be an integral member of a growing team. Is the Lord calling you to step out in faith and embrace Kingdom vision? Call me at 1-866-416-4661 or email firstname.lastname@example.org today.

Quote of the Month
“…strengthen those who have tired hands, and encourage those who have weak knees. Say to those with fearful hearts, ‘Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.’ And when He comes, He will open the eyes of the blind and unplug the ears of the deaf. The lame will leap like a deer, and those who cannot speak will sing for joy! Springs will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams will water the wasteland. The parched ground will become a pool, and springs of water will satisfy the thirsty land.” ~ Isaiah 35:3-7a NLT
There are times in life that we all need to give or receive a push. Ironically, the fear of falling always precedes the joy of soaring. Watch this video and be inspired by the eagle’s innate wisdom.
Save the date for two upcoming events with Carrielynn Lund this October. Carrielynn is a Metis consultant from Gift Lake, one of Alberta’s eight Metis settlements. She focuses on assisting Aboriginal communities to identify and address health and social issues that have a negative impact on children and their families. Because of her experience as an Aboriginal person with disabilities, she also works with governments, businesses, and educational institutions to identify and remove barriers that prevent or discourage persons with disabilities from full participation in community.
Carrielynn is a warm, genuine, effective communicator. Her amazing story will educate, captivate, and intrigue those seeking purpose and significance – compelling responsive hearts to reach out to others with love and compassion. This past year, Carrielynn spoke at a Connecting Streams’ training event and received and exceptional response. Therefore, it is our privilege to offer this encore training and outreach event presentation.

A Poem to Encourage You: “The Least of These”
When we step out in faith, obey God, and sacrificially love others, He performs miracles. Lives are changed. People come to know Jesus as their Savior and grow in their relationship with God. As we cultivate the ground and plant seeds, God transforms our character and our lives. Read this inspirational poem to be reminded that it’s by loving the least of these that we are shown to be His disciples.
